Milanote Basics: What is a Board?
I’ve been using Milanote for years, but for the longest time, I thought it was “just” a visual and creative tool. I treated it as a place to brainstorm or outline ideas before moving onto other apps like Notion or Evernote for the “real work” and organization.
And while Milanote is still the best possible app for creative brainstorming, somewhere along the line I realized there was a ton of productivity and organization baked right into Milanote’s underlying structure: boards.
The below video is a quick walk through explaining the versatility of boards, and how their “blank canvas” nature is made for more than just putting together pretty mood boards.
There are three ways to use boards:
Content: For layout out your notes, images, and content visually
Functional: Using boards as folders to organize other boards
Hybrid: Designing boards that keep the most essential information on the surface, with the more detailed content a quick click away
